Me and the crew had a great time this weekend at the Aesthetica Film Festival in York. Great to find people reacting strongly and positively to our short, Myra. We got to say hello to the organisers and even meet the lovely SXSW Programmer, Claudette Godfrey, who remembered my debut short film from the 2010 SXSW festival, awesome… I’m very much looking forward to seeing how this festival develops next year..

Now on to the Underwire Film Festival, fingers crossed for the nominations… screenings in London on the 23rd and 24th Nov!

Also very pleased to say my most recent short film, funded by Vision+Media and the UK Film Council, Every Good Boy Does Fine will be screening as part of the Language in Short Film selection at this year’s Alcine Film Festival in Madrid. Screening various dates in November from the 15th-18th…

Also for those coming to the festival, I can now confirm the official screening will be on Friday 1pm at According to McGee. The film will also be available to watch throughout the weekend on loop at the Barley Hall.

Myra selected for Aesthetica Film Festival & Raindance update

Our screening of Myra at Raindance FF last weekend couldn’t have gone better, with a large audience and plenty of great feedback. The aftershow drinks and hospitality at MADD cafe were also much appreciated… Following on from Raindance, I’m pleased to say Myra has also been selected by Aesthetica for their brand new festival in York. My short film Myra has been officially selected for this year’s Raindance Film Festival in London. This is great news, even better considering this was only my second short, made in true indie fashion with zero budget and only 2 crew members.

If you’re up for a session of short films, come along to the ‘Urban Tales’ screening, it’s on the 2nd Oct at 4.30pm at the Apollo in Piccadilly. You can buy tickets from Apollo cinema’s website here.

F-hole re-named and ready for the big screen.

I’m pleased to announce that F-Hole is finished and has been duly retitled ‘Every Good Boy Does Fine’ for the festival circuit. Any further news on festival selections will hopefully be coming very soon…

The edit is getting there, slowly but very surely – The third draft of the edit is being finalised and we’re looking to get the edit locked and graded soon. On top of that, we had a nice bit of press in this month’s Classical Music Magazine. Check out below… (click image to enlarge)

Principal photography of F-Hole (wt) is finally over. The filming went incredibly well with crew and cast putting their full efforts into, what was, a gratifying and exciting few days. Everybody has a great feeling about the edit, and we should have a first cut sorted in a couple of weeks. A big thank you to everyone involved.

We still have the indiegogo page open for donations; we’re looking for any support for post-production and editing costs. So please donate and be part of a great film production!

F-HOLE UPDATE – Great Talent Onboard

I’m very happy to have an amazing actor to play the part of Alan, the distressed alcoholic father, in my upcoming film F-HOLE… As far as his credits go, think of British classics such as Elephant (Alan Clarke), Mike Leigh’s Four Days in July, Oscar-nominated short – Dance Lexie Dance… to name a few.

Also very happy to have a super talented Director of Photography onboard. She was DoP on last year’s award-winning short SiS (won Best Film at Soho Rushes)

The rest of the cast and crew are a great mix of talented experienced pros and eager newcomers, the film shoot is shaping up to become something quite exciting…
